Case Study
Brizzy Rubbish Removals needed to smooth out seasonal highs and lows and break into the corporate market in Brisbane.
“With our business relationship spanning 13 years it is fair to say that Alicia has played an instrumental role in energising our company through creative marketing, thoughtful personalised implementation of ideas, and concepts that have added significant benefit and grown our business and marketshare. Alicia has kept us highly relevant in a very competitive environment over the years from website builds and revamps to Adwords tweaking, monthly blogs and advertising campaigns. She keeps everything running smoothly with an air of quiet professionalism – highly recommend!” – Mike Paulik, Owner.
The Problem
As any seasonal business owner knows the highs and lows throughout the year need careful planning to keep the team busy during the low season. Mike really values his team and wanted to provide stable hours even in the low season. We actually met Mike when he removed some old concrete from the property. We got talking about websites and he decided it was time to make some changes and take advantage of the opportunities Google search provides for small business.
The Solution
We redeveloped the website, optimised it for Google organic search and created a Google Adwords campaign to kickstart enquiries. We reviewed the website content and expanded it to include the sort of topics that our research showed would be most effective during the low season.
The Result
Mike saw results pretty quickly due to the Adwords campaign but when he saw the organic Google position also climb the trust was there and he has taken our advice ever since. Not only did we get Mike to number one for all of the most competitive search phrases (which delivers a lot of enquiry daily), we started to see his competitors making changes to keep up.
Mike has expanded his vehicle fleet and staff and we’re on his third website now. We’ve arranged photo shoots, directed video marketing and pitched myriad ideas for business growth offline too.
The conversion rate on the website form is siginficantly above the average of any industry and Google Ads are delivering impressive conversion rates with an enviably low cost per acquisition. The result is that phone and email enquiries keep the team busy and we’ve wiped out the ‘low season’.
Mike is still one step ahead of his competitors which are now corporate overseas franchise businesses that have moved into the market in Australia. We’ve worked together for about 10 years years now so it’s safe to say the business relationship is a success also.
Win. Win.
2020 UPDATE: Mike has now sold the business to Craig (who we continue to work with!).
2023 Update: Craig has now sold the business to Mark who we supported through the initial few months after the change of ownership.
2024 After a break of more than a year we’re now happy to be working with SEQ Rubbish Removals run by Mat who worked alongside the original Brizzy Rubbish Removals owner, Mike!
